FIRST® LEGO® League!


In partnership with Meta, we are proud to offer schools across Meath the opportunity to engage their students in STEAM through 

FIRST LEGO League.

What is STEAM Meath?


STEAM Meath is a fully-funded STEAM programme for primary and post-primary schools in Meath.  

Our goal is to transform STEAM education in schools throughout Meath and ignite young people's creativity.


Utilising the three FIRST LEGO League Divisions, students from Junior Infants through to Transition Year will have the opportunity to engage in this fantastic initiative.


The programme will run over three years from 2023 through to 2026 and 16 successful schools will be supported by the team at Learnit & Creative Hut throughout the entirety of the programme.

What is FIRSt LEGO League?


FIRST LEGO League is a hands-on STEAM challenge for young people.  It is a global initiative with over 800,000 young people taking part each year.

In Ireland FIRST LEGO League is delivered by the team at Learnit & Creative Hut.


There are three FIRST LEGO League divisions:

Discover - Junior Infants to First Class

Explore - Second Class to Fifth Class

Challenge - Sixth Class to Transition Year

What Will schools receive?


Each participating school will receive a fully-funded FIRST LEGO League package which will include:

- LEGO Education Resources (STEAM Park, SPIKE™ Essential or SPIKE™ Prime)

- FIRST LEGO League Registration

- Teacher CPD

- Student Workshops

- Participation in Regional Showcase or Tournament


Schools will be supported by the fantastic Learnit & Creative Hut teams to get the absolute most out of these amazing resources and their participation in STEAM Meath.

Successful schools will be notified in September 2023 and the project will commence in October.
